A word about the author
I'm a 34 year old husband and father of a 4 year old boy and 1 1/2 year old girl. I play an RX160 Ibanezguitar. For effects I use a ZOOM1010 multi effects processor plugged into a CarvinCX420 Powered Mixer. I started playing guitar when I got a bass guitar for my 8th grade graduation present. I had hinted around to my parents that I wanted one. The first things I learned on the bass were old country tunes I would play with my dad. Got bored with those real quick. So, I started learning songs from bands like  Lynyrd Skynyrd , Eagles ,  38 Special , Boston, Bob Seger , etc... The bass came pretty easy to me so I bought a Harmony Les Paul from JCPenney for $89. I remember one of the first songs I tried to learn was Led Zeppelins "Stairway to Heaven". I would play a couple of notes from the song, play them on the guitar, play a few more from the song, and play them on the guitar, until I figured out that I would be holding a chord while playing the notes. I didn't know it then, but that is the basics of lead guitar. I'll try to explain this better with some links on my page. Check it out.

If Southern Rockers Home Page has helped you in any way, or even if you thought something sucked, please let me know so I can get what you want and get rid of what you don't want.
